One evening we happened to come across a science special with top notch astrophysicists examining the furthest reaches of the universe, using recent photos from Hubble out in space. These experts were using charts and astronomical distances to estimate the age of the universe. They could even tell the ages of the stars by the colors they sent out from eons and thousands of light years ago. It was an amazing to listen to discoveries of time and distances beyond all ability to fathom, and to marvel at the number of solar systems, nebulae and Milky Way formations there are out there.
Such beauty, order, mystery and endless distances. And, even though the scientists did not mention this, so full of the creative hand of God. There is nothing random at all in any thing God Almighty does. A space full of the yet undiscovered wonders and intentions He has not revealed. An Earth full of life, ideas, creatures and people, that He made all this to share with. He delights in His people making discoveries of what He has made. “He determines and counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power; His understanding is inexhaustible and boundless.” (Psalm 147:4-5)
While the universe is so amazing – Its Creator is far more wondrous, indeed!
