Up on the Vermont mountain tops, up on the peaks, at the very summit of this lovely season, the peak of this short time, the color-hungry visitors come. They join the eager locals on the country roads, stopping and snapping pictures on awe and pleasure at landscapes full of deep crimson, clear orange, and bright yellow miracles.

Oh, the grace-filled hills and the impossible bright valleys and fields, spread out like magazine covers! How beautiful and fragile is this glorious and sudden time. Look until your eyes hurt trying to stop this moment in time. All too soon the fall winds will come and blow away the treasured leaves, once again.

How much like a living tapestry is this burst of the wonder of God. The hope and the promise is that once again, at the peak of another glorious color review, next year, our joy will peak again at His creation.
